08 Pudashi: The Bow of Wind

Two suns, two moons. The light of the sun
and moon enveloped the entire world,
but as the saying goes, excess can be as flawed as scarcity.

That day, the bow pierced through the sun and moon,
and the primordial song began anew.

making story.

Pudashi: The Bow of Wind is a stage performance rooted in Jeju Gut’s purification ritual,
Pudashi, and reinterprets the Jeju myth Cheonjiwang Bonpuri through contemporary pansori.

In a chaotic world overwhelmed by two suns and two moons,
Daebyeolwang splits the sky with a bow, leaving one sun and one moon to restore balance.

This pansori performance vividly portrays the clash of chaos and order,
mirroring our need for decisive actions to navigate life’s disarray.
It symbolizes the journey toward balance and harmony in tumultuous times.
