The Gime, a sacred window connecting gods and humans,
is crafted from delicately folded and cut white paper,
each pattern holding heartfelt wishes.
Its intricate designs narrate the stories of Jeju Island and its gods,
preserving over 5,000 years of cultural heritage through its symbolic motifs.
04 Seocheon Flower Garden: Wongang Ami
Gathering the fragments of a broken heart,
we ask: Just as flowers need water, life needs love.
Wherever love gently touches, flowers bloom
—brightly, radiantly.
05 Haneul-Olle: Clouds, Rain, Wind, and Thunder
The four traditional instruments
—drum, janggu, gong, and kkwaenggwari—
capture the sounds of nature.
Symbolizing storms, lightning, rain, and wind,
their resonant tones descend from the heavens,
washing away all negativity from the earth.
This symphony of purification embodies the harmony
and renewal that nature brings.
06 Haneul-Olle: Dance of Starlight
The song of stars spreads across the sky
-sea as the gong of Yeongdeung, the Wind Goddess,
resonates through the earth.
All great births arise from the end of pain.
“The iron shall tear the sky, birthing new stars,”
proclaiming the majesty of creation.
07. Pudashi: Dochabi Fire
Beneath the volcanic island of Jeju,
the night of the inspirational Dochebi gods begins!
Along the long lava tunnels unfolds a fiery spectacle.
With the flames of Dochebi Fire,
the joys and sorrows of human life are burned away,
creating a mesmerizing display of catharsis and renewal.
08 Pudashi: The Bow of Wind
Two suns and two moons
—though their light enveloped the world,
excess proved as flawed as scarcity.
That day, a bow cleaved through the sun and moon,
and the primordial song began anew.
